WATERFOWL

Toby's Trophy Treks has an allocated area of waterfowl hunting which encompasses thousands of acres of private farmland and countless bodies of water. This allocated area includes private farmland with peas, barley, and oats. The land is prime feeding for the birds which are residents of the area even before the migration.

All of the goose hunting is done in the field. Ninety per cent of the duck hunting is done in the field with the remainder done over pot holes or small bodies of water.

Our early morning hunts start with a light breakfast served by the outfitter.

We then take clients to a prior scouted field in the trucks of the outfitter, not vehicles of the clientele. There at the field we lay out the blinds and decoys for the hunt. A typical morning hunt will have one guide staying with the hunters to call the hunt. The rest of the guides will scout out fields for the upcoming days.

After the morning hunt we will return to the lodge for a large home cooked meal. Hunters will have time to relax before the evening hunt. In the afternoon we take out the hunters to the field for an evening of ducks.

At this time all guides will be out scouting and the hunters will call the hunt themselves. We will supply a hand-held radio to the hunters for contact with the guides. After the hunt, they will return to the lodge for relaxation in the spacious trophy room and then a late evening meal.

Dogs are welcome and are sure to get a good workout with both ducks and geese. Please contact us prior to the hunt if you are interested in bringing a dog. We are not responsible for a dog ruining a hunt.

With the generous bag limits on waterfowl this is the ultimate dream hunt for most hunters.
